NNA Conference

What are your thoughts on the price that the NNA conference is costing? It seemed to have jumped quite a bit from last year. Any attendees? |

Hi Maureen- Before I reply, I’d like to say that I’m not an “NNA-hater” but I am not an NNA-supporter (they USED to be a great professional organization for us). Okay, that said, here’s my opinion: SAVE YOUR MONEY. I went in 2005 (?) to San Diego and it was a complete waste of time and money. I went again last year in LA to help my buddy Sharon Hassler with her booth (she owns GoGetNotary.com) and I thank GOD I didn’t pay to attend and it was still a complete waste of time. Parking alone was $40 a day—$40 a day! It’s all “retail, retail,retail” and sign up to be a this and sign up to be a that and take our class and you must take our class and blah, blah, blah. I’m rolling my eyes now. The only good thing I could see about going is that those who’ve nurtured friendships from across the US would be able to see their buddies again and socialize. That’s it but, my personal experiences only. |
